Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to human beings through the bite of infected femaleAedes mosquito. These viruses are four types of types -, DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, or DEN-4. It has been found that a person can be infected by one or at the maximum two types of dengue viruses at one particular time. Dengue is also popularly known as ‘Break-bone Fever’as it affects the bones and muscles of the patient causing unbearable pain in the bones.
The infection is not transmitted from one person to another but from the bite of infected female mosquito to human beings.
The symptom of dengue varies from person to person and also depends on the age of the person. In some cases, no symptoms might be there because of the mild infection. However, some of the common symptoms are as follows –
